Enrolment Information

Who May Enrol?
Southern Highlands Christian School was established to support Christian parents in providing an education for their children in accord with their faith and home life. Over the years many other parents have seen the benefits of a Christian Education and the environment we offer, and have desired to have their children educated at SHCS. These parents want their children to have an education in a moral, Christian environment, and are supportive of the Christian ethos as a basis to the education at SHCS. As such the School is not exclusive, but a majority Christian family culture will always be in prevalence.

Enrolment Process
As you consider the appropriate choice of school for your child, we warmly encourage you to investigate SHCS and see for yourself the kind of school we are. This can happen in a number of ways: School tours, talking with family/friends of students who already attend SHCS and reading the material in our information pack.

The enrolment process is deliberately structured to clarify parental expectations and awareness. We realise not everyone who starts the enrolment process will submit an application. It should be noted the enrolment process will require a non-refundable administration fee of $150 to be paid at the onset of the process.

Enrolment Bond
A enrolment bond (currently $500) is to be paid upon acceptance of enrolment - to be refunded after the last child leaves the school, provided all liabilities are met and student had not had enrolment discontinued by the school.

Waiting List
When appropriate places become available, if you are on the waiting list, your child can be admitted immediately to classes.

Placement on the Waiting List ensures priority when vacancies become available.

School Tours
School tours are conducted either with the Principal as part of the enrolment process or on a more casual basis. If you wish to have a casual, 'no obligation' tour, please call the School Office to arrange a time. Bookings are essential.
