- Sports Facilities
- We are privileged to have 7 acres of land which allows plenty of outdoor space for all of our students in a great environment. Along with two track event size ovals, we also have one basketball court and two multipurpose tennis courts that are used for general play, netball, basketball, street hockey, tennis and other sports during both designated sports times and also during wet weather play. With both Primary and Secondary PDHPE Teachers, we are in a position to provide specialized skills instruction to every student in every grade. Every class has PE lessons that focus on development of skills, health and fitness and most importantly, fun, so that all students are encouraged to stay active and healthy for life.

- The Southern Highlands Christian School Library aims to provide a rich, welcoming environment for all members of the school community. Within this environment, the teacher- librarian endeavors to provide a wealth of informational and recreational resources to provide equity of access and encourage lifelong learning and enjoyment of reading for all patrons.

Collection
The student collection consists of a range of fiction, non-fiction, magazine and text book resources which cater to all students from Preparatory to Year 12. The library also offers student access to the Internet and school intranet.
The teacher resource collection consists of a range of teaching materials, DVDs, Videos, CDs, CD-ROMs and kits designed to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
The collection aims to serve the educational needs of the school community as well as encourage students to read widely and think creatively. If you have any questions regarding the library collection, borrowing rights and responsibilities or have a concern about the suitability of a resource please contact the teacher-librarian.
Opening Hours
The library operates between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Some restrictions to student movement do apply during the day to facilitate the best possible access to resources for all. Parents are welcome to drop in at any time to speak to the teacher librarian, however please keep in mind student needs during class times.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are always welcome at the library. If you would like to serve your parent hours or just help out in the library there are a number of different options available. Please contact the teacher - librarian if you have an interest in this area.
Donations to the school library
The school library welcomes donations of resources however all materials donated need to be assessed by the teacher - librarian to determine their appropriateness for the school collection. If you would like to contribute to the library in this way please contact the library.
- Canteen
- At Southern Highlands Christian School we have a canteen facility which currently runs on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Schools aim is to meet the Healthy Canteen regulations and have a varied menu including hot food during the winter and salads and fruit salads during the summer as well as healthy snacks and extras relevant to the season. We would encourage parent volunteers to get involved in this fun way to meet other parents and also to meet parent service hours requirements.
Students are able to order their lunches on either of the canteen days and a price list and menu is available on the homepage under documents.
