Netball teams reach Grand Finals!
On Saturday 19th September two SHCS teams, The Kool Koalas and Boost played in the Grand Finals at Eridge Park. The Kool Koalas, Junior B team placed second to Gib Gate after a tightly fought match. The first half was extremely close, with both teams scoring goal for goal. In the second half, Gib Gate found their game and won 12-8. Boost, Intermediate B team played Moss Vale Dragonflies Red in another tense game. Both teams played with determination to level the score at three quarter time 21 all. However, Boost pushed forward in the last quarter to win the match, with the final score of 31-25. Both matches were watch by a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, cheering on our girls. Jessica U received “Player of the Match.” The teams were presented with their medals at the Southern Highlands Netball Association Presentations on Sunday 20th September at Mittagong RSL. Shelby B and Jessica U received “Best and Fairest” trophies for the best overall point scores in their respective divisions. This is an outstanding effort and what a brilliant end to a terrific season for both teams! Well done! On Monday this week, all teams were presented with medals for participation. Caylee C, Kaitlyn H and Annabelle P received certificates for continuous commitment to SHCS netball. Thankyou to all the coaches and managers, Jessica C and Mrs Foster, Mrs Abbey and Mrs Brake, Mrs Wandell, Mrs Faulkner and Mrs Worner. We could not function without your support and time commitment. To all the girls, thankyou and I look forward to another season of challenging games and great fun next year.
